Coastal-adjacent humidity plus a kitchen running hot for half the year is a tough combination for rubber seals.
A failing gasket shows up first as condensation on the door edge, then as a motor that runs longer to hold temperature. Run the paper test: close the door on a sheet of paper and tug — if it slides out easily, the seal has lost its grip.
Replace the whole gasket rather than patching a section. A mixed-age seal never seats evenly.
